More than 1,700 companies went before you. It's that simple. Check.
You want to offer your organization sustainable employability and you want to see this reflected in the results! The ideal combination. Less absenteeism, less costs. More involvement and commitment; increased performance. It sounds almost too good to be true.
And sometimes it is. Too good because engaging in this process and the associated results often lies entirely as the final responsibility of the HR department. Not everyone in the organization has sustainable employability high on the agenda. While themes such as health, development and work-life balance affect the entire organization. So it is time to create financial insight that everyone can use.
"Of course, financial interests are also important to employers. Without financial interests, the investment can never be used as a sustainable policy. This is how a sustainable policy becomes an effective policy!" _
Carlijn Brouwer (KOBA-DI Tool Simple Check advisor)
Would you like to know how much investing in sustainable employability will yield your organization in euros? The National Platform for Sustainable Employability and TNO have developed a unique calculation tool for this purpose: the Cost-Benefit Tool for Sustainable Employability (KOBA-DI Tool). With insight into the costs and benefits, you and your employer can make responsible investment decisions so that you can take the right measures and get the most out of your employees. The advantages:
With the sophisticated, yet very user-friendly KOBA-DI tool, companies can work with consultants to understand what sustainable employability can bring to a company or institution in terms of productivity and increases the likelihood of investing more and more effectively in employee sustainable employability.
This tool enables (HR) advisors, in discussion with internal or external clients, to arrive at responsible investment decisions when it comes to measures for sustainable employability. The tool uses unique reference data on sustainable employability from the National Survey of Working Conditions (NEA) and the Employers' Survey of Employment (WEA), which TNO manages together with CBS. The tool is updated biannually with these data.
Carlijn Brouwer, psychologist and working as a consultant at Simple Check and official advisor KOBA-DI tool, sees many advantages in working with a KOBA-DI tool, as an addition to a 'standard' PME . She says:
"This is a great tool for our clients where the emphasis is on getting clear insights and achieving long-term change and movement. Engaging in dialogue is the first step. Then, almost as a matter of course, comes the action. This is all supported digitally. During the process, we monitor progress together with the client by means of the KOBA-DI tool."
"As a psychologist specializing in health behavior, I have developed a fascination with 'healthy work'. Behavior is influenced by many factors such as the physical and social environment, but psychology is also a very important, and interesting, factor. For example, I often wonder what makes people, consciously or unconsciously, regularly make unhealthy choices when there are plenty of other options that we know are better?
My approach focuses on the "measuring is knowing" principle, which obviously supports my choice to work for Simple Check. I see the health check as a nice trigger for healthy behavior. As a start for a sustainable policy and a starting point for sustainably employable employees. Making and keeping employees sustainably employable really requires a sustainable approach. In my experience, the KOBA-DI tool follows up this first step well after the health check and contributes to a sustainable approach to vital employees.
I find it interesting to translate theory from my knowledge and experience into appropriate advice with lasting and measurable results. The 'KOBA-DI tool is ideally suited for this purpose. "
