Working Conditions Scan
The Working Conditions Scan provides detailed insight into the conditions under which employees work. It examines various topics that can have a direct impact on the working environment and the well-being of employees. Here you can think of more insight into whether the working conditions cause health complaints and whether they cause you to perform your work less well (reduced work capacity).

The various topics:
Workplace physical strain: This scan evaluates the degree of physical strain that employees are exposed to while working. It may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or other forms of physical exertion.
Deviating work hours: This looks at work schedules outside normal office hours, such as shift work or night shifts. The scan provides insight into the potential effects of these abnormal working hours on employee well-being and health.
Working with hazardous materials: This topic focuses on the risks and safety measures related to working with hazardous materials. The scan assesses awareness and compliance with safety protocols to minimize risks to employees.
Factors such as noise, climate, lighting: This scan examines workplace conditions related to noise, climate and lighting. It identifies potential sources of nuisance and assesses their impact on employee well-being and performance.
Monitor work & sitting: This examines the ergonomic aspects of screen work and prolonged sitting. The scan evaluates work posture, the alternation between sitting and moving, and any presence of physical discomfort or complaints.
Safety Culture: This scan examines the safety culture within the organization, including awareness of safety procedures, willingness to report and the extent to which employees feel supported in raising safety issues.
Effects on health and employability: This theme focuses on the broader impact of working conditions on the health and employability of employees. It assesses levels of stress, fatigue and work-life balance, among others.
After completing the scan, employees receive detailed feedback on their scores in their personal dashboard. This explains what the scores mean and provides general advice for improving working conditions where possible. If necessary, employees are linked to videos, tips and advice so they can find more information on specific topics relevant to their situation.
The management dashboard
For organizations, group-level results are fed back in a management dashboard, provided a minimum of 30 employees have completed the scan. This allows organizations to analyze the results and take targeted measures to improve working conditions and promote the well-being of their employees.
Reliable and validated questionnaire
The questions used in the Working Conditions Scan are taken from the National Survey of Working Conditions, a reliable source from TNO for collecting data on working conditions in the Netherlands. By using this validated questionnaire, organizations can be confident of the accuracy and relevance of the data collected.
