The role of the manager is crucial but complex when it comes to guiding employees toward sustainable employability.
Step 1: Leadership Scan (TNO).
This short questionnaire contributes to strengthening the role of managers when it comes to sustainable employability. It clarifies which competencies and personal characteristics and attributes the manager has. And what is needed to, based on one's own qualities, talents and motives, actively conduct policy and guidance for the team in the area of health and vitality. The results of this scan are included in the follow-up steps.
Step 2. Workshop on Vital Leadership.
This workshop provides valuable knowledge and practical tools for executives who want to play an active role in creating a vital and resilient team. For now and in the future! This workshop addresses the skills needed to actively lead to sustainable employability of the employee. And thus to put topics such as vitality, work ability and employability permanently on the map. Without increasing the workload of the manager. In fact, using these tools reduces the workload and increases the personal leadership and responsibility of everyone. Being a good employer is a spearhead.
Step 3. Employability Interview Workshop
During this interactive workshop, we practice the conversations managers can have to support employees in promoting their own employability. The key here is that the manager does not need to know the answer to everything in order to provide the right support. And thus to be able to discuss topics such as vitality, work capability and employability. By being able to have a dialogue about these topics, team members feel seen and heard and the manager can provide a solution without having to think it up himself. This reduces the workload and increases trust in working together.
Step 4. Leadership 360-degree feedback
Using a simple questionnaire, the manager gains a clear understanding of how team members perceive his or her leadership style. In doing so, the manager can identify areas where he or she can and wants to develop further. It also becomes clear where he or she is already performing well. The result of this approach is an increase in trust and cohesion among team members. Overall, this simple but effective tool can be used to foster stronger and more productive working relationships within any team, leading to better results for both the team and the organization as a whole.
