The 0 measurements
A sustainable employability policy is a continuous process, consisting of a number of different phases that are repeated, evaluated and (if necessary) adjusted. This works best when there is a clear starting point. A so-called "0 measurement. By means of a 0-meting, the state of affairs at that moment becomes visible. At the end of the process it becomes clear which results were achieved or not. Simple Check offers various 0-measurements, both at the employee, managerial and organizational level.
The 0 measurements for employees
Our offer is very diverse when it comes to surveys and questionnaires that can serve as 0 measurements for employees. Both in terms of physical and mental health.
Physical health
Physical health is measured through a health check in our Simple Check bus. This bus comes to you at any desired location. This saves time and effort. During this health check, in addition to the TNO validated Healthy Living Scan, various body measurements and tests are taken. Such as:
The Health Check PMO
Body measurements, such as abdominal circumference, fat and BMI are interrelated and give an indication of physical health and body proportions. In addition to body measurements, we also measure blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol and blood sugar. In addition to all these standard measurements, we also offer the option of additional tests such as the eye test, ear test, gluten intolerance test, lung function test, hand squeeze test and an iron value measurement. More information can be found on our Health Check PMO page.
Healthy Living Scan
While taking the health check, the Healthy Living Scan is administered. This is a questionnaire that provides insight into the lifestyle and attitude of the employee and can be divided into three different sections:
- Lifestyle behaviors: about exercise, nutrition, alcohol, smoking, sleep and relaxation.
- Attitude and culture: what about the vision and knowledge of health and vitality.
- Advice: a personal consultation with one of our vitality coaches.
Preventive attention to mental health
Sustainably employable employees are employees who are not only physically but also mentally healthy. Stress in the workplace is occupational disease number 1 and every year too many people run the risk of burnout and other work-related mental illnesses. Not surprisingly, it is important to pay attention to mental health in a sustainable employability policy. We can measure mental health with various TNO validated questionnaires, such as the sustainable employability index (DIX) and the psychosocial workload (PSA).
Sustainable employability index (DIX).
The DIX is a questionnaire that provides immediate insight into the employability of employees. It can be used at the individual level, but also at the group level. By repeating the measurement periodically, it can also be used as a tool to evaluate interventions.
The DIX provides insight in the following areas, among others:
- Work-life balance.
- Resilience.
- Current functioning.
- Health and energy.
- Knowledge and skills.
- Personal leadership.
- Future forecast.
In addition, the following additional modules can also be used:
- Healthy living.
- Career and Development.
- Working conditions.
- Working conditions.

Psychosocial workload (PSA).
The PSA provides insight into psychosocial workload. Psychosocial workload means:
- Workload
- Sexual harassment
- Violence
- Discrimination
- Bullying
- Aggression
Psychosocial workload questionnaire PSA

One third of absenteeism in the Netherlands is caused by work-related psychological complaints. The PSA questionnaire is a risk analysis, which serves as a first step in making psychosocial risks and pressures at work negotiable. It provides tools on how to recognize PSA and offers practical solutions to prevent or prevent the various forms of PSA.
Furthermore, there are several tools Simple Check works with that are deployed as the 0 measurement for executives. You can read more about these in a later blog. Curious already? Then feel free to contact us!
